Write for us
We welcome pitches for fresh, clearly explained stories about creative pastimes, small making projects, drawing, paper, and playful experiments. A good proposal gives readers something worthwhile to try or notice without demanding a perfect result.
What to pitch
Send an original idea with a defined reader, a specific angle, and a sense of what the finished story will help them do or understand. We are interested in distinct approaches, thoughtful comparisons, project explanations, and candid accounts of what can go awry.
Make the proposal useful
Include a working title, a short summary, the materials or context involved, and why the idea suits Prime Weekend Stories. Flag any steps that need extra care, any claims that would need support, and whether the proposal has been offered elsewhere.
Send a pitch
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to send your proposal. Please send a pitch rather than a completed article unless we have asked for one; a proposal is not a promise of publication.
